What Resources will be used with the TLT Key Series

All projects and examples used throughout the training will be school and classroom oriented. They need to be familiar to the teachers in the cohort. Now that the structure of the TLT-Key Series is somewhat stable, we need to look deeper and wider for resources to support the training.

We are still attempting to identify and locate good reference material, especially for the basic skills series. We could adopt a standard MS Office Reference Text, but those tend to be home and business oriented instead of classroom oriented. The Tom Synder Teachers Texts for using MS Word and MS Excel in school look like good candidates but those are the only basic skills programs Tom Snyder Software has texts to cover. We are still searching other K12 education and software vendors.

Certainly we will be using Education Portals such as the MCI - Worldcom Marco Polo Site, The state subsidized on-line resources for schools, The George Lucas Foundation materials and a variety of resources from Classroom Connect.
