Course Description:
This course will engage students in electronic network-based learning
activities in order to help them learn how to organize and conduct such
activities with students and colleagues in distant locations around
the world. Students will be expected to participate in an on-line activity
that has been organized by others and conduct an analysis of that activity
to inform their own efforts in conducting and managing an on-line instructional
activity as a major course project.
Students will be expected to have easy access to the Internet and be
able to upload files to a web server and maintain a web-based portfolio.
Students will also need access to a group of K-12 students (an intact
class or club group) who can serve as "local" project participants
as part of the on-line activities.
