Electronic Resources for Educational Assessment & Evaluation:
The  Fifth Category?
=============================================================================================================================================
The Bruce-Levin taxonomy is so heuristic that it greatly helps us to get a better understanding of today's eductional technologies. And it is so exhaustive that I really had a hard time with finding an example to challenge it.

The possible example that may not exactly fit into the Bruce-Levin taxonomies, I found, is as illustrated in the website http://www2.acs.ncsu.edu/UPA/survey/resource.htm  .

Under this generic website, I am mostly interested in its links such as the site at http://ericae.net/intass.htm  which is about educational ssessments & evaluations on the internet, and another site at http://www.ets.org/cbt/index.html which is about ETS's computer-based standardized educational testings.

Assessment & evaluation is one of the crucial components of an education system, and it is important that media or educational technologies serve this part of our education systems nowadays. But assessment and evaluation can be hardly subsumed into any of the four categories, namely, inquiry, communication, construction, and expression. So I would tentatively add "Media for Assesment & Evaluation" as a fifth category into the Bruce-Levin taxonomies.
