EPIC: Electronic Privacy Information Center
This is the web site for Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC).  EPIC is a public interest research center in Washington, D.C. It was established in 1994 to focus public attention on emerging civil liberties issues and to protect privacy, the First Amendment, and constitutional values. EPIC is a project of the Fund for Constitutional Government. EPIC works in association with Privacy International, an international human rights group based in London, UK and is also a member of the Global Internet Liberty Campaign, the Internet Free Expression Alliance and the Internet Privacy Coalition.

Internet Watch Foundation
The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) was launched in late September 1996 by PIPEX founder Peter Dawe to address the problem of illegal material on the Internet, with particular reference to child pornography. It is an independent organization to implement the proposals jointly agreed by the government, the police, the two major UK service provider trade associations, ISPA and LINX, and Mr. Dawe. Science and Technology Minister Ian Taylor welcomed the proposals as “a major industry-led initiative to reassure the public and business that the Internet can be a safe and secure place to work, learn and play.”
 
RSACi
This is an organization that rates the web. The Recreational Software Advisory Council is an independent, non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C, that empowers the public, especially parents, to make informed decisions about electronic media by means of an open, objective, content advisory system. The RSACi system provides consumers with information about the level of sex, nudity, violence, offensive language (vulgar or hate-motivated) in software games and Web sites.
